Warranty & RMA

Goods carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We administer the claim on your behalf so you deal with one process rather than four manufacturers.

Warranty periods

The period is set by the manufacturer, not by us, and it differs by brand and by product line. The table below is what the manufacturers publish for goods bought through the distribution channel.

Brand Standard period Notes
Ubiquiti 1 year From shipment to the reseller. Units bought direct from Ubiquiti’s own store carry 2 years.
MikroTik 1 year Returned to the manufacturer for assessment.
ALFA Network 1 year
Teltonika 2 years
Zyxel 2 years Varies by product line.
Mimosa 1 year
Western Digital 3–5 years By drive line. Purple and Red are 3 years; Purple Pro and Red Pro are 5.
Seagate 3–5 years By drive line.

Always check the warranty statement supplied with the unit: a manufacturer can change terms, and the document in the box governs.

Raising a claim

  1. Contact us with the part number, serial number, order or invoice number, and what the fault actually does.
  2. We issue a return authorisation number and the address to ship to.
  3. Return the unit complete, well packed, with the authorisation number on the outer carton.
  4. We assess it and, where needed, take it to the manufacturer on your behalf.

Outcome and turnaround

Repair, replacement or credit, depending on the manufacturer’s determination and stock of the same part. We assess returned units within 3 business days of receipt. Manufacturer turnaround after that is outside our control and typically runs two to four weeks depending on the brand.

Advance replacement

We do not offer advance replacement as standard. Where downtime is critical, buy a replacement unit and we will credit it in full once the faulty unit is assessed and the claim is upheld.

No fault found

Units returned as faulty that pass testing are returned to the customer at the customer’s cost. We do not charge a separate no-fault-found handling fee.

What is not covered

  • Physical damage, liquid ingress, lightning and power surge.
  • Installation outside the manufacturer’s environmental or power specification.
  • Damage caused by firmware that is not the manufacturer’s own.
  • Units with removed, altered or unreadable serial numbers.

Cloud-registered hardware

Release any unit claimed to a manufacturer cloud account from that account before returning it. A device still bound to an account cannot be reassigned and will be sent back.
